Texas is his home, singer, songwriter and yodeler, Ken Brothers
has been playing his heartfelt music for some thirty years plus,
and has a distinctive approach on how he preforms his music.
Winning the U.S. yodeling championship in Kerville, Texas back in
1977, Ken held the title through the following two contest in 78 and 79. And in 1980 no one challenged him, so he requested to retire from competition to rebuild competition in the contest.
He is also a song writer and preforms some of his songs and others at country opry shows, weddings, corporate events , ranch parties. festivals and also teams up with Steed Henderson at some of his chuckwagon caterin'events. Cowboy poetry and humor combined with singin' and yodelin' can be found around the Chuckwagon. We only perform for captive audiences .

The western is a genre of art that may be found in film, television, radio, literature, paintings and other visual arts. Westerns are devoted to telling stories set primarily in the latter half of th 19th century in the american old west. Having wanted ta be a cowboy and live the cowboy way of life, I got my first taste of it on The King Ranch back in 1969 and for fifteen or so years, I worked on ranches all over texas.
In 1986 my motivation to be in western movies came ta pass with a part as a reenactor in a Sam Elliott film about Sam Houston. And for the next fourteen years I worked in in movies and comercials, off and on every year.
I was in gunfights, shot, hung once, fell off of horses and never once got ta kiss a purdy girl. We shot a few westerns at Willie Nelsons ranch by Lake Travis in Austin. Over the years I got ta meet and act with alot of actors that I had seen in movies before. As my chuckwagon caterin' was going strong and still triyin' to audition for parts in movies and commercials and the cowboy flims sorta going down the trail, I jest gave it up in 2001, with the (Newton Boys) with Mathew McConehay as my last ride into the suset. And I never did get ta kiss a purdy girl! Yep!
